UAE 40th National Day Competition

Win a guided tour, including lunch, aboard HMS Argyll at Mina Zayed

As the UAE prepare to celebrate its anniversary of 40 years of union, the British Embassy want to take this opportunity to reflect on the things that have brought, and continue to bring unity and friendship between the UK and the UAE.

A picture speaks a thousand words and with this in mind, we are launching a competition to all residents of the UAE to send us their photo that best depicts the strong connections between the UAE and the UK over the decades.

The photograph should depict union between the UK and UAE over the past 40 years, ie the original National Day celebrations up to the impending 40th year anniversary.

The winner of each category will receive a guided tour, plus buffet lunch, aboard one of her Her Majesty's Royal Navy ships, which will be delivering a 40 gun salute in recognition of the 40th anniversary. This ceremony will take place on 3rd December 2011, all applicants must ensure that they are available on this date. 

Rules
The competition will be divided into 3 age groups:
11 and under
12 years to 18 years
18 years and above

Each photographer may submit only one photograph.
Photographs may be in colour or monochrome and saved in JPG or TIFF format only, maximum size 2mb.  

All entries must be submitted with your name, age, nationality, contact details and a brief description of your photograph.
